Currently, Interclypse is seeking motivated, career, and customer-oriented Principal Compliance Engineers to join our team to provide exemplary support to our customers and to begin an exciting and rewarding career within Interclypse. Principal Compliance Engineers advise clients on how to build compliance into their technical operations to enable the precise application of compliance concepts. The Principal Compliance Engineer works with clients to convert legal knowledge and analysis into software and systems engineering requirements in support of successful mission-oriented outcomes.

Requirements

  • Ability to extract key excerpts from law and policy that apply to the specific computer platforms and integrated systems.
  • Ability to convert legal and policy requirements into software and systems engineering terminology to enable the application of compliance standards.
  • Assist in understanding existing and emerging legal, compliance, and policy rulings that could or should impact implementation choices.
  • Recognize when additional legal and policy guidance or authorization is required.
  • Prepare written incident reports and requests for legal or policy review.
  • Prepare written recommendation that captures compliance-relevant technical implementation facts.
  • Make recommendations for the development of sections of systems engineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements Specifications, and Interface Control Documents
  • Help in the early design phases to ensure successful compliance outcomes.


Desired Skills/Experience

  • Extensive knowledge of the U.S. government's privacy laws, regulations, and policies, mainly as they apply to the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community (IC).
  • Demonstrated basic understanding of the different roles and authorities of the Intelligence Community elements.
  • A minimum of fifteen years of legal, compliance, or related professional background and experience.
  • At least five years of experience working in the Intelligence Community in either a Legal, Policy, Compliance or Privacy & Civil Liberties capacity.
  • Formal training or experience interpreting/applying the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act in an intelligence production operation.
  • Formal training or experience with Federal, State, and foreign government data privacy laws.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience in delivering presentations to stakeholders.
