Job description

Principal Industrial Water/Wastewater Consultant

Arcadis seeks a Principal Industrial Water/Wastewater Consultant to join the Industrial Water Treatment and Optimization (IWTO) team as a โ€œseller/doerโ€. This role is key to our growth within the Mining Sector in the U.S.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead business development activities to increase project wins and develop longโ€‘lasting client relationships.
  • Reach out to client network regularly to assess opportunities, positioning, and lead pursuit and development of proposals.
  • Participate in client interviews and coordinate with Arcadisโ€™ regional, national, and global client account teams.
  • Lead and support the expansion of business development opportunities, preparing abstracts and technical papers.
  • Serve as a Mining Sector wastewater treatment subject matter expert, mentoring staff on mining operations and wastewater issues.
  • Lead projects and clients in the planning, design, and construction of industrial water/wastewater treatment plants and wastewater recycle plants.
  • Coordinate multiโ€‘disciplined engineering teams, serving as subject matter expert for complex designs.
  • Prepare design basis documents, engineering calculations, and review of engineering drawings (P&IDs and Layout).
  • Specify treatment equipment, instrumentation, and controls.
  • Produce engineering reports and feasibility studies, providing direction/review and quality reviews.
  • Manage technical coordination and leadership on larger or complex projects or highโ€‘risk projects.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental, Civil, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 20+ years of industrial water/wastewater treatment experience.
  • Experience across engineering, project management, sustainability, sales, marketing, and mining.
  • Knowledge and experience with industrial clients in North America, especially in the Mining sector.
  • Strong experience leading large industrial wastewater capital projects.
  • Strong network within the Mining sector.
  • Professional Engineer license.
  • Knowledge and experience with multinational industrial clients.
  • Previous regional or national role and collaboration across regional teams.
Location & Work Model

Hybrid work position. Preferred locations include Denver, Reno, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Missoula, Houston, Dallas, Raleigh, Indianapolis, Minneapolis, Tampa, and Philadelphia. Other locations may also be considered.

Compensation

Salary range: $136,400 - $204,600. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, EAP, 401K, STD, LTD, AD&D, life insurance, paid parental leave, reward & recognition program, and optional wellbeing benefits, adoption assistance, tuition reimbursement.
