Job description

Primoris Energy Services is seeking an experienced Planner/Scheduler for our office in Temple, Texas. We're looking for a detailed, driven person that excels at handling multiple mid-to-large scale projects, crafting and maintaining schedules in Primavera P6, collaborating with project teams, and preparing detailed work packages. If you have 3+ years of scheduling experience within an industrial environment, advanced Excel skills, and a passion for managing multiple projects, this might be a great fit for you!
Job Duties:
โ€ข Prepare and maintain project schedule using current project systems tool (Primavera P6)
โ€ข Interface as needed with client representatives to communicate and receive schedule update information
โ€ข Assist with preparation of weekly and monthly progress reports
โ€ข Analyze project specifications and workload capacity data, and perform mathematical calculations to determine tools and human resource requirements
โ€ข Plan and schedule workflow for the project team according to previously established guidelines, sequences and lead times
โ€ข Confer with project managers and engineers to determine status of assigned projects
โ€ข Integrate subcontractor schedule into Master Schedule
โ€ข Provide timely and accurate updating of project schedules
โ€ข Resource loading and analysis of data into schedules as required - Primavera.
โ€ข Establish and maintain professional working relationships with project staff
โ€ข Development of Baseline Schedules
โ€ข Manage the development of the overall CPM schedule and assure coordination with the Project Superintendent and the procurement schedule with the Project Engineer
โ€ข Monitoring & maintaining the quality of schedule reflection files
โ€ข Assist in weekly/monthly project schedule updates with the project team and Subcontractors
โ€ข Assist the project team in fragmenting the project schedule when required
โ€ข Provide insight to the Project Manager concerning schedule updates as to critical path and near critical path activities, and other potential issues with the project schedule
โ€ข Assist Project Managers in creating short-term schedules, monitor such schedules to determine impact on master schedule, and help in formulating actions to correct scheduling problems
โ€ข Assist Project Managers in the development of delay claim impacts and recovery schedules
Qualifications/Skills:
โ€ข 3 to 7 years of project scheduling experience
โ€ข Proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling
โ€ข Resource loading
โ€ข Mechanical construction experience
โ€ข Strong MS Excel skills, including working with charts, histograms, graphs, etc.
โ€ข Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
โ€ข Experience in creating, managing, and analyzing construction project schedules efficiently and accurately, with little direct supervision
โ€ข Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to work well within a deadline driven environment
โ€ข Professional attitude and always conduct oneself in a positive manner
โ€ข Must respect and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
โ€ข Must be able to perform in a fast paced, changing environment
