Are you a talented concrete finisher ready to take your skills to the next level? Primoris Heavy Civil is growing and we're looking for a few experienced Concrete Finishers (Pavers) to join our dynamic Paving Department in the Houston area.

If you've worked in diverse paving environments and can handle various weather conditions with confidence and precision, we want to hear from you! This is your opportunity to be part of a company that values craftsmanship, safety, and career growth.

Job Description

Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete floors, walls, sidewalks, or curbs to specified textures. Must be willing to travel amongst several projects within the Houston area and will be working in various weather conditions.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Practice safety rules.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Safe use of hand & power tools.
  • Report to and assist immediate supervisor.
  • Perform quality work as determined by project specifications.
  • Accountable for all tools and materials at the end of your shift.
  • Must work well as part of a team.

FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Spread concrete to a specified depth and workable consistency.
  • Level, smooth, and shape freshly poured concrete.
  • Finish concrete surfaces.
  • Remove rough or defective spots from concrete surfaces and patch holes.
  • Mold expansion joints and edges.
  • Sprinkle stone chips, powdered steel, or coloring powder on concrete to produce the prescribed finish.
  • Produce concrete surface.
  • Mix cement.
  • Direct subgrade work, mixing of concrete, and setting of forms.
  • Finish steps and stairways.
  • Break up and repair old concrete surfaces.
  • Mix and pour grout.
  • Calculate the amounts of concrete required for each job.
  • Picture objects from drawings and diagrams.
  • Compare and see differences in size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects.

PHYSICAL AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (assistance recommended for heavier loads).
  • Work extended hours on foot, including on uneven or rough surfaces.
  • Climb ladders, kneel, crawl, or work at heights and in confined spaces.

WORK ENVIROMENT

  • Location: industrial construction sites and/or fabrication shop
