The Director, Channel Growth & Performance Marketing is responsible for defining and executing comprehensive growth strategies that drive audience, subscriber acquisition, engagement, and retention across streaming and digital distribution ecosystem. This role operates at the intersection of data, brand strategy, performance marketing, programming, and business strategy, leading initiatives across SVOD, AVOD, FAST, and partner channels to accelerate performance and scale. Through lifecycle marketing, experimentation, analytics, and cross-functional leadership, this role translates insights into actionable marketing strategies (paid, owned and earned) that optimize the full customer journey while building distinct brands that audiences connect with to maximize long-term value.
The ideal candidate brings a strong balance of strategic brand thinking, analytical rigor, and operational leadership, with a deep understanding of the streaming landscape and partner ecosystems.

Responsibilities
Develop and lead the growth marketing strategy across streaming and channels ecosystem (SVOD, AVOD, FAST), shaping initiatives and campaigns that drive audience growth, subscriber acquisition, engagement, and retention while reducing churn.
Support the VP, Channels Marketing through close collaboration on strategy development and planning, delivering insights, performance trends, and recommendations that inform marketing direction and investment decisions.
Translate brand strategy into execution across paid, owned and earned media channels, partnering with creative, social, and programming teams to develop brand briefs, campaigns, and cohesive messaging frameworks across consumer touchpoints.
Lead global channel marketing initiatives inclusive of but not limited to AV, Design, Publicity, Digital media (web and social), SEO and discovery optimization strategies.
Strategize and operationalize KPI frameworks alongside the business unit, paid media and research teams that link marketing performance to content outcomes, including viewership, conversion, retention, churn, and lifetime value.
Collaborate with partner teams to develop a test-and-learn agenda aimed at unlocking new acquisition channels, ad formats, and scaling user acquisition activities. Assist in translating campaign/test results into clear, concise, exec-friendly updates and reports.
Collaborate with platform and distribution partners (e.g. Amazon Prime Video Channels, Roku, Apple and more) to optimize in-platform merchandising, promotional opportunities, and partner marketing initiatives that enhance visibility and performance of content.
Leverage audience insights, viewing behavior, and market trends to inform go-to-market strategies, content launches, channel programming, and content planning and development.
Partner cross-functionally with distribution, partnerships, research, and operations to align growth initiatives with business priorities and platform opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
10+ years of experience in growth marketing, lifecycle/CRM, subscriber marketing, performance media, and/or digital strategy within entertainment, media, or streaming, ideally with studio, streamer, YT channel, or other content-driven businesses.
Strong conceptual and aesthetic sensibility paired with strategic business acumen.
Deep understanding of the evolving media landscape, including FAST, AVOD, SVOD, and global distribution ecosystems.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior executives and stakeholders.
Strategic, highly collaborative leader with strong storytelling skills and the ability to translate data into clear, compelling business insights.
Deep knowledge of the evolving streaming landscape, including ad-supported models, subscription ecosystems, and emerging distribution channels.
Nice to Haves
Experience working at the intersection of studio and platforms, including collaboration with major streaming partners and distribution ecosystems.
Analytical capabilities, with experience tying performance metrics (conversion, viewership, retention, churn, LTV) to content and business outcomes.
Familiarity with creative production for sales-driven organizations or distribution-led marketing.
