SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for the correct prices of merchandise to be sold. Responsible for the file maintenance in the computer system. Must check that prices and labels are accurate in prices and description.
EXEMPLARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for making price changes (changing labels, and putting up and taking down new or old signs), updating or researching non-scanning items, preparing for the following day's price changes, checking in-store books, testing scan items, checking discrepancy reports, checking shelves for missing labels, making sure items are scanning correctly whether on ad or regular price, preparing for the ad, ordering shelf tags, helping in the courtesy booth, running the register, and bagging groceries. Must be able to perform duties of a cashier. Assist customers with their request.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
1.AGE:
?Must be 18 years or older.
2.EDUCATION/TRAINING:
?Must possess a high school diploma plus have at least six months of college or equivalent work experience.
3.PHYSICAL:
?Capable of lifting 50 lbs. as well as able to cashier from time to time-must have use of all limbs.
?Must have good vision and hearing with or without correction.
4.SKILLS/ABILITIES:
?Able to work well with little or no supervision.
?Ability to handle multiple tasks and able to work under pressure.
?Good problem-solving skills.
?Must be a team player.
?Must be a self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
?Able to converse in the English language on a one-to-one basis.
?Possess an understanding of Company's P.O.S. equipment as well as the use of its software and hardware in relation to maintaining pricing integrity at store level.
