Job description

And, through our network of 70 offices spanning five continents, PRG is capable of delivering for its customers anywhere on the globe.   The Technician is responsible for preparation and maintenance of PRG's most basic lighting equipment. He/she will also assist in other departments in configuration and assembly of client orders. Responsibilities
  • Maintains and enters all factory acceptance testing and QC documentation
  • Ensures maintenance policies and procedures are met and related paperwork is in order
  • Ensures all equipment QC deadlines are met
  • Preconfigures fixtures to project  specifications such as DMX Modes or addresses
  • Cross-trains to assist in different departments as required
  • Leads by example and encourages subordinates and peers to perform work in a safe manner, wear's proper PPE, adhere to safety standards and policies, and remain accident free.
  • Keeps work area clean and organized
  • Other duties as assigned or directed
Qualifications
  • +1 years of lighting repair or infield experience
  • Basic understanding of DMX Protocol, Control and operation
  • Basic understanding of standard electrical procedures for safety, knowledge of standard electronic test equipment and basic A/C, D/C and digital circuit operation.
  • Developed electrical basics & fundamentals in troubleshooting
  • Ability to troubleshoot, prioritize and execute all job related tasks with thorough attention to detail
  • Must have strong organizational skills and be able to prioritize work to meet deadlines

Working conditions

  • Must be able to multi-task in fast-paced environment, under pressure, and time constraints
  • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime, including weekends and holidays, when needed

Physical requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The pay range for this position is estimated to be $21.00 to $23.00 per hour. Actual salary to be determined by the experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant combined with location and alignment with market data.
