Responsibilities
Account Manager is responsible for the coordination, customer support and execution of rental orders for Customers throughout the local and national network. The goal in this position is to create high utilization of PRG assets, while balancing the company and customer needs to result in profitable business for all parties. It is the policy of PRG to provide excellent customer service both internally and externally. Employees are expected to perform all of their duties and responsibilities in accordance with this policy at all times. Can be assigned related work as required.
Essential functions
  • Cultivates and maintains favorable contacts with key and major accounts of the organization for the sales of events and/or entertainment projects.
  • Demonstrates innovative production solutions and provides resources in the best application of products or services to achieve client's vision.
  • Coordinates company technical and service resources to accommodate client needs.
  • Participates in the RFP/order process from inception to close.
  • Plans and estimates event costs and margins according to Company guidelines and in consultation with Company management.
  • Analyzes records of present and past sales, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenue and contractual obligations in order to support budget development and revenue/cost forecasting.
  • May specialize in a specific product, market or discipline.
  • Leads and participates in client presentations.
  • Formulates and implements an action plan to initiate sales opportunities with client.
  • Prepare and define scope of work with client; to include budget, project schedule, work flow, internal resource requirements, concept designs and layouts.

  • Basic knowledge of the principles and practices of event and/or entertainment technology sales and marketing.
  • Understanding that entertainment customer's hours are not predictable, and Sales Agent must be able to support and prioritize schedule accordingly.
  • Thorough knowledge of organizations policies and resources.
  • Basic knowledge of the function and capability of event and entertainment technology equipment across all disciplines.
  • Desire to gain knowledge of current trends and advancements in event and entertainment technology and the direction of equipment development.
  • Basic knowledge of the technical principles of operation of the equipment in inventory.
  • Good knowledge of the principles and practices of workplace Safety.
  • Good knowledge of modern office procedures and practices.
  • Good knowledge of common computer productivity tools, such as Microsoft Office.
  • Good people skills in working with customer to understand needs and quickly return quotes to them while learning the basics of upselling to their needs

Physical demands

Required education and experience
  • Completion of four years of post-secondary education from an accredited institution of higher learning with a concentration in business administration, hospitality management, operations management or related entertainment technology fields.
  • One or more years of experience in shop operations or sales in a market appropriate to the position vacancy.
  • BA degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Advanced problem resolution skills and communication abilities
  • Ability to anticipate customers' needs and match them with appropriate PRG products and services
  • Experience within the entertainment industry a plus
