Location: Salinas, Ca
Position Summary
Join the AG industry's leading seedling supplier and transplanting company as part of our Maintenance Team! As a Maintenance Clerk, you will play a pivotal role under the general supervision of the Senior Maintenance Administrator. Bring your excellent organizational and communication skills to the forefront as you take charge of tracking maintenance work orders and ensuring the seamless update of records and documents.
With occasional travel constituting approximately 5% of the role, this is your chance to contribute to the success of a thriving agricultural operation.
Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)

  • Supports with the creation, follow-up, completion and filing of work orders.
  • Reconcile invoices related to the maintenance department.
  • Supports Senior Maintenance Admin and Shop Manager in creating POs related to the maintenance department.
  • Process any past due pending work orders for all equipment into the system.
  • Supports coordination of repairs and preventative maintenance scheduling that supports fleet vehicle availability and requirements.
  • Administers an effective checking-in-out tool system.
  • Conducts periodic inventories of equipment, tools, and other supplies.
  • Supports Senior Maintenance Administrator with compliance of rolling stock (trucks, tractors, vehicles, etc.), including renewal of registrations, scheduling smog's, submittal of documents to governmental agencies, depreciation schedules, and other regulatory items related to the company's fleet of vehicles.
  • Manage maintenance records alongside Senior Maintenance Administrator.
  • Provide excellent customer service oriented to internal and external customers.
  • Maintains an organized work area.
  • Follow/Adhere to company safety guidelines.
  • Able to work weekends and extended hours as needed.
  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
Compensation: $20.00-$22.00/hour
Requirements
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Experience)
  • High school or GED.
  • 3+ years of related experienced preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and success in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Able to communicate effectively.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Microsoft Office intermediate level required.
  • Conversational (English/Spanish) required.
  • Valid California Driver's License required; must maintain eligibility for company vehicle insurance.

Physical Requirements
While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; frequently required to talk or hear; and occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities by this job include close distance and color vision.
