PRESS TRAINEE, SHERIDAN PRESS
HANOVER, PA
5PM-5AM
Job Summary:
Assist press operator in maintaining press schedules and quality, participate in press training program, and perform other duties as directed by the General Plant Supervisor.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Assist press operator by maintaining paper inventory and replenishing as necessary
  • Assist in the cleaning of work area including ink pans, plates, and machine
  • Perform job set-up as instructed by the operator including completion of the "Preventive Maintenance List"
  • Follow all required safety procedures such as: PPE, Ergonomics, etc. Perform job in a manner that protects the health and safety of all employees.
  • Assist with housekeeping in the Press area.
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be mechanically inclined with good math skills
  • Reliable, flexible, organized, attentive to detail
  • Willingness to assist others, enhance job skills

Physical Requirements
  • Constant standing with some climbing, crawling, stooping
  • Good visual acuity
  • Must be able to frequently lift, push, pull, transport, and position materials weighing up to 65 pounds
