We are a long-established printing company with over 80 years of experience delivering large-scale and recurring print projects. The company specializes in offset printing, annual reports, and grand format printing, including banners, window clings, and various display materials. Our Client is known for its reliability, having successfully delivered a weekly mail piece for one client for more than 4,000 consecutive weeks. The team focuses on understanding customers' marketing objectives and providing high-quality printed solutions that meet their needs.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Press Operator role based in the Greater St. Louis area. The Press Operator will set up, operate, and maintain printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials, including offset and large-format projects. Daily responsibilities include reviewing job tickets, preparing materials, monitoring print runs, performing routine press adjustments, and ensuring accurate color, registration, and alignment. The role also involves collaborating with pre-press and finishing teams, following safety protocols, and meeting production deadlines while maintaining quality standards.

Must have -

  • Need someone that has at least 8 years' experience with any of the below commercial Printing Presses:

  • Heidelberg Speedmaster, Manroland, & Mitsubishi Diamond 3000 6 color with Coater all Sheet fed.

  • The applicants need to have experience with these presses (not all) , preferably over 8 years plus of experience, need an operator that can hit the ground running. But if you can find an operator that can run the Mitsubishi, that would be gold.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess skills in Machine Operation and Printing to effectively set up, run, and adjust press equipment.

  • Candidates should possess skills in Quality Control to inspect printed materials and ensure consistency with specifications.

  • Candidates should possess skills in Troubleshooting to identify and resolve mechanical or print-related issues during production.

  • Candidates should possess skills in Pre-press to interpret job layouts, manage plate preparation, and coordinate with pre-press staff.

  • Previous experience as a press operator or in a print manufacturing environment is preferred.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift materials as needed, and work safely around machinery.

  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in printing or related fields is a plus.

Experience

  • Proven experience operating printing machinery such as large-format printers, flexo presses, or digital printers in a manufacturing or commercial print environment.

  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to adjust industrial equipment for optimal output.

  • Familiarity with graphic design software including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and prepress software for file preparation.

  • Knowledge of color management techniques and print advertising standards to ensure vibrant, accurate colors in final products.
