Description
Press Assistants provides support within the Press Department and is responsible for assisting their crew by loading or flipping printed products in preparation for printing as well as assisting in operating the sheetfed offset printing press, performing other duties as assigned, and helping to prepare and maintain the presses
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up sheetfed printing presses by installing plates, adjusting ink levels, setting registration, and ensuring proper paper alignment. - Operate the sheetfed press, managing speed, pressure, ink density, and paper handling to produce consistent, high-quality print products. - Unload press delivery skids from the press and maintain accurate documentation of press runs. - Conduct major lubrication processes, check oilers, and perform daily maintenance on the press to ensure optimal performance. - Monitor the printing process continuously, making adjustments as needed to maintain quality standards. - Conduct quality control inspections throughout the print run to identify and address any issues promptly. - Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
