Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Fabricates parts using roll-forming and metal-bending machinery.
  • Prepares machine, load raw materials, execute start-up procedures, and adjust settings for optimal performance.
  • Operates forklift to move raw material as well as finished product.
  • Documents time to appropriate manufacturing orders by clocking in and clocking out of jobs daily.
  • Ensure materials meet the current quality standards by using tape measures to compare to production drawing.
  • Maintains a clean and organized production area, including proper storage, disposal of materials, and maintain standards.
  • Follows process specifications, product drawings, production requirements, and all safety standards including proper PPE.
  • Reports machine/maintenance issues to team leader or supervisor.
  • Train new production employees as needed.
  • Work overtime as needed to meet the schedule.
  • Performs company activities in addition to the above assigned by Production Supervisor and/or Team Leader.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience in manufacturing
  • Machine operator experience strongly preferred.

Work Conditions: This job operates in an industrial manufacturing environment exposure to varying temperatures, loud noise levels, dust, fumes, oil, or other outdoor elements. This role requires regular standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods of time. Climbing stairs/ladders, squatting, sitting, operating machinery, and may require lifting to 50lbs, and must be able to wear PPE as required. This is a full-time position and may require overtime including night and weekend work.
