Preschool Receptionist

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dependable Preschool Receptionist to support our management, office, and teaching staff.

Essential Functions

Customer service

  • Greeting guests, managing incoming calls, and visitors' records.
  • Organize office supplies, handle correspondence, and maintain records of daily operations.
  • Printer (support printing services for teachers and admin)
  • Create a welcoming environment for parents, visitors, and staff with a friendly and positive attitude.
  • Assist parents with inquiries, addressing their concerns, and providing accurate information about our childcare programs and services.

Maintain a neat and presentable front desk:

  • Ensure the front desk area is clean, organized, and visually appealing.
  • Arrange necessary supplies, such as pens, forms, paper, and other resources, to ensure smooth operations.

Answer all parents' questions (based on the parent Handbook and INIC protocol/procedures) and incoming calls:

Professionally handle incoming phone calls and direct them to the appropriate admin staff

Provide accurate information to inquiries and take messages when necessary (based on parent Handbook and INIC protocolé/procedures)

Assist parents with any questions, concerns, or requests they may have.

Accept letters and packages:

Receive and log incoming mail, packages, and deliveries.

Distribute correspondence and packages to the appropriate departments promptly.

Monitor, organize, and forward emails:

Track and order office equipment and supplies:

Monitor inventory levels of office supplies and equipment.

Place orders for necessary supplies in a timely manner to maintain adequate stock.

Keep records of orders and maintain vendor relationships.

Maintain records and files:

Organize and maintain various files, documents, and records related to childcare (front desk binares such as Medication Administration, Incident Reports, etc).

Assists and accepts responsibility in other daily duties that might be temporary in the event other employees are not available

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. There may be possible travel/work at two locations. Extended hours may be necessary as needed to cover staffing during business hours.
