Job description

Job Title: Prepress OperatorJob Description

Perform all necessary prepress functions, including preflight, file assembly, color corrections, proof output (PDF, contract, imposed proofs, folded mock-ups), and making plates. Ensure that G7 color management qualifications are met during proofing and plating. Prepare die files for the die maker in collaboration with the finishing department. Work directly with internal and external customers to recommend best practices for file preparation, identify and resolve file issues, and ensure that customer expectations and efficiency goals are achieved. Stay updated on new systems, tools, methods, and processes to enhance and improve services and support.

Responsibilities
  • Perform preflight, file assembly, and color corrections.
  • Output proofs (PDF, contract, imposed proofs, folded mock-ups).
  • Make plates and perform additional duties as needed.
  • Ensure G7 color management qualifications are met.
  • Prepare die files in collaboration with the finishing department.
  • Recommend file preparation best practices to customers.
  • Identify and resolve file issues to meet customer expectations.
  • Stay updated on new systems, tools, and methods.
Essential Skills
  • 2+ years of prepress experience.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with Fuji or Metrix.
  • Ability to lift 30+ pounds.
