Temporary PT Prep Cook – Marin French Cheese Bistro


Join California’s Original Cheese Company!

Love fresh food, great ingredients, and working in a fast-paced kitchen environment? Marin French Cheese is looking for a dependable and enthusiastic Prep Cook to join our Bistro team!

In this role, you’ll help prepare delicious sandwiches, salads, grab-and-go items, and made-to-order dishes that showcase our award-winning cheeses and locally inspired flavors. If you enjoy hands-on food prep, staying organized, and being part of a collaborative team, we’d love to meet you.

What You’ll Do
  • Prepare sandwiches, salads, and grab-and-go items according to recipes and quality standards
  • Assist with made-to-order menu items during service hours
  • Label, date, store, and rotate ingredients properly
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary prep area
  • Assist with inventory, restocking, and daily prep lists
  • Support opening and closing duties
  • Work closely with the Bistro and Retail teams to keep operations running smoothly
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous prep cook, fast food, or kitchen experience preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • ServSafe certification preferred (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency
  • Team-oriented attitude with good communication skills
  • Must be able to speak and understand English; Spanish is a plus
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays
Physical Requirements

This role requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 40 lbs., and working in both warm and cold environments. Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, carrying, and use of kitchen equipment is expected.
