Job description

Angels on Call is a premier licensed home care service agency located in Peekskill, NY. Currently serving New York State including Bronx County, Dutchess County, Orange County, Putnam County, Rockland County, Sullivan County, Ulster County and Westchester County.

Seeking Home Health Aidesย with availability to work live in placements in our service area. A New York State HHA Certificate is required for this position. Angels on Call typically prefers staffing full week (7 day shifts or longer) rather than partial week (3 or 4 day shifts).

These placements are 1 on 1 and per diem with individuals in our local community who utilize the services of certified care professionals in various settings. Per diem work means that you will have complete flexibility over which shifts you accept, and right of refusal for any cases you are contacted for.

  • Competitive pay of $21.62/hr base for certified live in caregivers, with overtime pay (1.5x) for any hours worked past 40 during each week.

  • Accrue Paid Sick Time (1 hour earned for 30 hours worked, per New York Paid Sick Leave Law)
  • Health Insurance (Angels on Call will cover 75% of plan premium. Enrollment eligible following 90 days of full time work)

Required:

  • Must possess a valid NYS HHAย Certificate
  • At time of hire, candidate must be able to provide:
    • Proof of current flu vaccinationย 
    • Proof of MMR vaccination, including reference ranges
    • Annual Physical from preceding 365 days, indicating fit for work and stamped / signed by physician
    • Tuberculosis Status, either through:
      • Quantiferon Blood Draw within 9 months
      • 2 PPD Tests, one within 30 days and one within 365 days
      • If Positive provide a chest X-ray from within 5 years or a doctors note
