Job Title: Precast Drafter Location: Pottstown, Pennsylvania Type: Contract To Hire Compensation: $23.00 - $25.00/hr Contractor Work Model: Onsite โ€“ onsite Hours: 8AM-5PM Security Clearance:

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Precast Drafter to support the design and production of precast concrete components for commercial and industrial construction projects. This role is responsible for preparing accurate erection and shop drawings, coordinating with engineering and production teams, and ensuring all documentation aligns with project specifications and manufacturing standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed precast erection drawings for submission to architects, engineers, and general contractors
  • Develop shop drawings and fabrication tickets for manufacturing precast components
  • Review drawings and details for compliance with project specifications, contract documents, and company standards
  • Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and production teams to support project execution
  • Maintain accuracy and consistency across all drawings and documentation
  • Assist in resolving design and detailing issues throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements
  • Associateโ€™s or Bachelorโ€™s degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of drafting/design experience preferred
  • Experience in precast concrete preferred; experience with steel, cast-in-place concrete, or prefabricated systems considered
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD required
  • Experience with Tekla and/or Revit preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Well organized, attention to detail, quick learner
  • Solid communication skills (not afraid to ask questions when needed)
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer
    • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout office and plant environments as needed
    • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
    • Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks
    • Ability to work in varying environments, including office settings and manufacturing areas with exposure to dust, noise, and temperature fluctuations
