Job description

McKinleyville Baptist Church (McKinleyville, CA) – Pastor


The Big Picture

McKinleyville Baptist Church (mckinleyvillebaptist.com) is seeking a full-time Pastor who will preach expository, Christ-centered sermons and help our church body continue to grow in loving God and one another. We are a loving Bible-believing fellowship that has served the Northern California Coast for more than 55 years. We believe the Word of God is our supreme authority in faith and life. Our faithful congregation is committed to reaching our community, as well as the rest of the world, for Christ. Our Sunday morning attendance typically ranges between 40 – 70.



Requirements

Responsibilities:

· Provide overall direction and planning for worship services

· Preach weekly expository sermons on Sunday morning

· Coordinate other ministries and gatherings including Sunday evenings and mid-week Bible studies

· Provide spiritual leadership in all areas of church life and function

· Provide pastoral care to members including visitations, counseling, discipleship, prayer, funerals, etc.


Qualifications:

· Pastoral experience: Prior ministry experience preferred

· Education: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Bible/theology. A Master’s degree from an accredited seminary preferred

· Spiritual Gifts: Preaching, teaching, shepherding, leadership



Benefits

Compensation & Benefits:

· Salary Package: Annual total package of $55,000 - $65,000, depending on experience

· Allocation: Salary package can be configured in various ways depending on the preference of our new Pastor so as to optimize income tax ramifications

· Vacation: 3 weeks
