Job Summary

The Pre-weigher is responsible for providing support to the production compounding staff by pre-weighing materials for the purpose of transferring chemicals and materials.

This is what you will do:

Pre-Weigher I

  • Pulling stock or restocking raw materials and chemicals as directed by hand or using lifts, jacks, and tippers.
  • Return empty barrels to the utility worker's area.
  • Keep the Pre-weigh area clean and free of spills using mops, water hoses, brooms, etc.
  • Assist lab and batching departments as directed.
  • Consolidate chemicals to provide room for new chemicals or products.
  • Communicate effectively with others.

Pre-Weigher II

  • Successfully completes all duties of Pre-Weigher I, with little to no supervision.
  • Perform duties safely.
  • Pull more complicated batches timely and accurate.
  • Surpass standard pull expectations with accuracy, regularly (more than standard 16-21/day).
  • Assist in training employees new to the department.
  • Operate RF Guns at an advanced level.
  • Willing to train in other areas and function as a backup to that area (e.g., Compounding).

Both Positions

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

This is what you will need:

  • High School or equivalent.
  • 1-year High School chemistry or equivalent learning.
  • Intermediate math skills including division, multiplication, fractions, and percentages.
  • Ability to read and interpret measure scales and gauges including metrics.
  • Ability to comprehend complex OSHA and safety regulations; MSDS forms; FDA regulations and GMP compliance.
  • Ability to use simple tools and reason out basic mechanical and physical problems.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English competently.
  • Ability to perform work on-site
  • Advanced level of math skills including analytical ability (preferred).
  • Forklift license or training. Hazardous material training (preferred).
