Description
The Engineer position requires extensive knowledge of all the systems and departments in the Company. This person
understands all the different elements that go into each project in order to accurately estimate the cost or the Company
and the customer, figure out how to build each item, and create detailed instructions for how to install the finished
products. This position will also be asked to participate in installs as needed.
A successful Engineer manages project updates and changes and works effectively with every department within the
company to ensure the success of all projects. They proactively plan for upcoming work and assist team members
towards hitting completion goals.
Initiative to learn new skills, attention to detail, excellent follow-through, organization will help the person in this
position to succeed. The ability to problem solve and work through high-stress situations are required.
Qualifications

Advanced understanding of design principles and techniques.

Proficient knowledge of current technology as it relates to estimating, engineering, and install.

Can read and analyze architectural drawings, CAD designs, blueprints, and engineering systems.

Advanced knowledge of industry materials - applications, costs, and trends.

Knowledge of how each product is built in-house, including machine capabilities and timelines.

Reliably manage a variety of projects and deadlines.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to participate and lead effectively in a team environment.
Primary Responsibilities

Determine cost effectiveness of in-house vs. outsourcing components of projects.

Assist Purchasing as needed.

Attend kickoffs, pre-mortems, and post-mortem meetings to stay aware of upcoming projects.

Identify future trends and styles to create innovative and best solutions.

Create Engineering sheets with manufacturing instructions for each project/job.

Create Installation instructions for each project/job.

Coach, mentor, and educate installers with your knowledge and skills and encourage superior quality.

Go on Install at least once per quarter.
