About the Role:

The Practice Manager will lead and oversee the daily operations of a family medical practice, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of healthcare services. This role is pivotal in managing staff, coordinating patient care, and optimizing practice workflows to enhance patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes. The Practice Manager will be responsible for financial management, including budgeting, billing, and revenue cycle oversight, to maintain the practice's financial health. Additionally, this position requires collaboration with healthcare providers and external partners to implement policies and procedures that comply with regulatory standards. Ultimately, the Practice Manager will drive continuous improvement initiatives to support the growth and sustainability of the practice while fostering a positive work environment for all team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the family practice, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee financial activities such as budgeting, billing, collections, and expense management to ensure profitability.
  • Lead, mentor, and evaluate administrative and clinical staff to promote high performance and professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and internal policies to maintain quality and safety.
  • Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to optimize patient flow, enhance service delivery, and improve patient experience.
  • Implement and monitor practice management systems and electronic health records to streamline operations.
  • Develop and execute marketing and community outreach strategies to increase patient volume and practice visibility.
  • Address patient concerns and feedback promptly to maintain high levels of patient satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, or a related field. Or directly related experience in lieu of education.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare practice management or a similar leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of medical billing, coding, and healthcare regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and practice management software.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration or Business Administration.
  • Experience managing a family medicine or primary care practice.
  • Certification such as Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) or Fellow of the American College of Medical Practice Executives (FACMPE).
  • Familiarity with quality improvement methodologies and patient-centered care models.
  • Experience with marketing and community engagement in a healthcare setting.
