Job description

Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Digital Manager, the Casual Team Member serves as a model and brand ambassador responsible for executing local marketing activations, on property and in the local area, engaging with consumers, and ensuring Foxwoods maintains strong community connections. The role spends over 75% of their time in the field promoting Foxwoods at events and festivals. Casual Team Members will be the eyes and ears of the brand, gathering feedback and ensuring a strong connection between Foxwoods and its audience. Bachelor degree in advertising, communications, marketing or related field. Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a guest experience role, brand ambassador/rep or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess excellent communication and people skills. Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be willing to work flexible hours during nights, weekends and holidays. Must have a valid driver's license.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Adheres to all Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Policies and Procedures.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador and model, representing Foxwoods at community events and promotional activations.
  • Execute marketing activations such as sampling events, pop-up promotions, and brand awareness campaigns.
  • Engage directly with consumers, educating them on Foxwoods' offerings and enhancing their experience with the brand.
  • Gather and report real-time consumer insights to help improve marketing strategies and product positioning.
  • Support event logistics, including setting up displays, managing branded assets and assisting with activations.
  • Create and maintain strategic partnerships with local organizations and influencers to heighten brand awareness.
  • Assist in social media activations by engaging with consumers and capturing event content.
  • Promote positive public and employee relations at all times.
  • Adhere to the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe's Policies and Procedures.
  • Ensures timely completion of all assignments.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
  • Performs all other related and compatible duties as needed.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor degree in advertising, communications, marketing or related field.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a guest experience role, brand ambassador/rep or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must speak English.
  • Enthusiastic and energetic personality with a passion for guest experience.

  • Previous experience in marketing, brand ambassadorship, promotions, retail or hospitality preferred
  • Must be digital savvy, to work an data collection device in the field.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must maintain a flexible work schedule, and be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to travel to different locations as needed.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Ability to stand, walk and engage with guests for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and transport event materials up to 40 pounds as needed.
  • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying environments
