Leadership Opportunity in a Growing Specialty and Emergency Hospital
Dogwood Veterinary Specialty and Emergency - Marietta is a leading 24/7 emergency and specialty veterinary hospital serving the Greater Atlanta area, dedicated to delivering compassionate, advanced medical care to pets and their families.
Our team of emergency clinicians, board-certified specialists, veterinary technicians, and client service professionals work collaboratively to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced referral hospital environment.
We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Practice Manager (PM) to support hospital operations, team leadership, and clinical workflow coordination at our Marietta location as we continue to grow and prepare for future expansion within the Dogwood network.
This role is ideal for a hands-on operational leader who thrives in a fast-paced veterinary hospital environment, enjoys being present on the hospital floor, and is passionate about team development, workflow optimization, and patient care excellence.
The Practice Manager will work closely with the Hospital Administrator and medical leadership team to ensure strong operational performance, team engagement, and seamless daily hospital function.
Clinical Operations & Floor LeadershipÂ
- Provide daily operational support within the hospital, helping coordinate workflows across departmentsÂ
- Serve as a visible leadership presence on the hospital floorÂ
- Support technicians, assistants, and client service teams with workflow management and patient flowÂ
- Help address operational challenges in real time to ensure efficient hospital operationsÂ
- Assist with maintaining high standards of patient care and client experienceÂ
Team Support & LeadershipÂ
- Help mentor and support technicians, assistants, and client service representativesÂ
- Promote a collaborative and respectful team cultureÂ
- Support onboarding and training of new team membersÂ
- Assist with scheduling coordination and staffing supportÂ
- Help reinforce hospital policies, procedures, and expectationsÂ
Operational CoordinationÂ
- Partner with the Hospital Administrator to implement operational improvementsÂ
- Help support departmental communication across clinical and administrative teamsÂ
- Assist with tracking hospital metrics and operational performanceÂ
- Support hospital initiatives related to efficiency, workflow optimization, and team engagementÂ
ExperienceÂ
- 2-5 years of leadership experience in a veterinary hospital or healthcare environmentÂ
- Previous experience in emergency or specialty veterinary medicine strongly preferredÂ
- Demonstrated ability to support teams in a fast-paced, high-acuity hospital settingÂ
EducationÂ
- Veterinary Technology degree, Business Management degree, or equivalent professional experienceÂ
Preferred QualificationsÂ
- RVT / LVT / CVTÂ
- CVPM certificationÂ
- Previous team leadership or supervisory experienceÂ
- Experience in ER or specialty veterinary hospitalsÂ
