The Workforce Development (WD) Specialist - Training & Documentation Administration maintains the training and documentation systems, standard operating procedures, and work instructions to support training compliance and workforce readiness. Additionally, the WD Specialist facilitates department orientations and fab bootcamp to prepare new team members for training with an assigned mentor and improve initial time to productivity. The WD Specialist should be proficient in AI tools, such as Cloud Assist, LLM, and other AI augmented tools.
Responsibilities:
Training:
  • Create on-the-job training (OJT) curricula, learning items, and resources to support team member training of assigned work tasks
  • Maintain OJT resources to ensure content is accurate and effective - training plans, curricula, learning items, primary and supplemental resources, certification objectives, assessments
  • Communicate regularly with leaders from assigned areas to gather training needs and report on training initiatives and follow up on training requests to defined service-level agreements, and elevate when unable to complete independently
  • Facilitate regular meetings with customer groups to review key priorities, training deployments, readiness, and compliance

Documentation:
  • Analyze business needs and develop clear, audience-appropriate documentation, including standard operating procedures, work instructions, and training materials.
  • Ensure documentation complies with established standards, templates, grammar, and quality requirements.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create, update, review, and maintain controlled documents.
  • Create and modify supporting graphics, images, and visual content to enhance documentation effectiveness.
  • Manage document governance activities, including approvals, repositories, access controls, keywords, change requests, and periodic document reviews.

Data Analysis & Reporting:
  • Extract, analyze, and categorize data to develop visualizations, dashboards, and metrics reports.
  • Create, publish, maintain, and refresh reports on an agreed-upon cadence for key stakeholders.

Program Ownership:
  • Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of assigned programs in alignment with fiscal-year roadmaps and business objectives.
  • Document key business processes, standards, and guidelines while identifying gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Establish program metrics, performance targets, and process health indicators to measure effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Implement feedback mechanisms and continuous improvement practices to drive sustainable program outcomes.

Project Management: Project Manager
  • Lead or contribute to cross-functional projects by defining scope, objectives, deliverables, schedules, risks, communication plans, and success criteria.
  • Coordinate project resources, facilitate stakeholder meetings, monitor execution, manage changes and risks, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Evaluate project effectiveness and outcomes, communicate results to stakeholders, and support transition to sustaining operations when applicable.

Project Management: Core Team Participant
  • Attend project meetings and complete assigned action items on time
  • Support project execution to closure by participating in crafting the project charter with problem statement, scope, objectives and success criteria and assisting in developing the project plan to include achievements, deliverables, schedule, communication and risk mitigation plans
  • Help prepare closing report to key partners
  • Facilitate transition to sustaining mode when applicable
  • Use Artificial Intelligence tools where applicable

Safety & Quality
  • Complete required safety training and perform work in accordance with safety policies, procedures, and area work rules.
  • Identify and promptly report hazards while maintaining safe and ergonomic work practices.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in one of the following or related fields: Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education / Adult Learning, Business Administration, Psychology or Behavioral Sciences

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Organizational Development, HR, Education, or related field
  • Certification in one or more of the following: SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCPATD (Associate or Certified Professional in Talent Development), Certified Workforce Development Professional (CWDP), Instructional Design certifications (nice bonus, especially for training-heavy roles)
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in one or more areas: Workforce development, talent development, or training, Organizational development or change management, Learning & development program design and delivery, and Employee engagement or performance improvement initiatives
