Company :Allegheny Health NetworkJob Description :The position is for PPG Industries located in Springdale PA. PPG Industries is a robust manufacturing plant that produces coatings for various types of use. This RN will encounter frequent first aide issues so experience in the Emergency Room would be beneficial.

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

This job utilizes the nursing process to provide and direct delivery of patient care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols; assists in the implementation and maintenance of an occupational medicine program at AKMC; assists with marketing of such program, providing educational program.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs a comprehensive patient assessment to identify patient needs. (25%)

  • Develops and implements a comprehensive plan of care with communication to clients regarding the care. (20%)

  • Performs and documents direct patient care and patient education according to nursing standards of practice. (15%)

  • Identifies and responds to patient condition to achieve positive patient outcomes. (15%)

  • Provides periodic interdepartmental refresher training on urine drug screen collection and breath alcohol testing for ancillary department personnel. (5%)

  • Promotes and markets the HealthWorks program and services. (20%)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

  • Graduate from accredited school of nursing

  • Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)

  • 3 years of Direct Patient Care

Preferred

  • Certified Hearing Conservationist

  • Experience with Worker's Compensation laws, OSHA, Department of Transportation rules and regulations

  • Certified Breath Alcohol Technician

  • 3 years in Occupational or Emergency Medicine.

Additional Employment Requirements:

  • CPR - American Heart Association

  • Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

  • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate

  • Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
