Job description

The Opportunity:

Reporting to the SVP, Global Commercial Development, this leadership role will serve as the Global Commercial Lead for Precision Medicine & Companion Diagnostics, responsible for defining, developing, and executing the global commercial precision medicine strategy across the Revolution Medicines portfolio. This individual will ensure companion diagnostics, biomarker strategies, patient identification, and testing solutions are fully integrated into therapeutic development, launch planning, and commercialization to enable successful product launches and maximize patient access.

Candidates should be passionate about leading cross-functional collaboration, building new commercial capabilities, and contributing as both a strategic leader and hands-on driver in a growing organization. This position will partner closely with internal stakeholders and external diagnostic partners to ensure global readiness for precision oncology commercialization.

Responsibilities:  

  • Partner across the company, including Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Clinical Biomarkers, Commercial Biomarker Strategy, CDx Regulatory, Translational Medicine, Business Development, and regional commercial teams to define and execute integrated global precision medicine and companion diagnostic strategies.

  • Partner with Market Access to develop HTA and evidence strategies that optimize diagnostic access and patient access.

  • Ensure global readiness to support successful companion diagnostic development, launch planning, commercialization, and lifecycle management across the U.S. and key ex-U.S. markets.

  • Execute global precision medicine strategies that align biomarker positioning, patient identification, testing pathways, laboratory capabilities, and diagnostic solutions with overall brand and portfolio objectives.

  • Lead market development initiatives to drive biomarker education, stakeholder engagement, and appropriate reporting of RAS and other actionable mutations.

  • Translate scientific, clinical, regulatory, and market insights into compelling strategies, diagnostic roadmaps, launch narratives, and execution plans while effectively communicating recommendations to global and regional stakeholders.

  • Develop and refine global precision medicine plans, including testing forecasts, market readiness assessments, investment priorities, and lifecycle strategies to support portfolio decision-making.

  • Provide commercial precision medicine leadership to portfolio strategy, development milestones, and investment decisions, ensuring companion diagnostic and testing strategies are incorporated early to support long-term commercial success.

  • Drive excellence in global diagnostic launch execution by creating launch frameworks, sharing best practices across affiliates, and monitoring readiness to proactively resolve challenges including Define and track KPIs for testing adoption, diagnostic access, launch readiness, and commercial performance.

  • Establish and lead strategic partnerships with diagnostic companies, laboratory networks, technology providers, and other external stakeholders to expand testing access, enable scalable diagnostic solutions, and support successful global companion diagnostic commercialization.

  • Build relationships with advocacy groups, professional societies, payers, and diagnostic organizations to advance testing adoption.

  • Serve as a trusted resource to executive leadership in identifying opportunities to optimize patient identification, expand testing access, strengthen competitive differentiation, and maximize commercial value across the portfolio.

  • Drive innovation in global precision medicine by collaborating with Commercial IS and cross-functional teams to leverage digital capabilities, data analytics, and omnichannel approaches that enhance biomarker testing, patient identification, and customer adoption.

  • Define long term RevMed needs and build out appropriate resources and teams

  • Up to 50% travel required.

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • Experience leading precision medicine strategy for oncology launches.

  • Minimum of 15+ years of progressive biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry experience, including significant leadership in precision medicine, companion diagnostics, oncology commercialization, or related functions.

  • Demonstrated success developing and executing global precision medicine and companion diagnostic strategies supporting product development, launch, and lifecycle management, including experience collaborating with companion diagnostic manufacturers, laboratory networks, and strategic diagnostic partners.

  • Enterprise-level strategic thinking with the ability to balance scientific, regulatory, commercial, and patient access considerations.

  • Strong understanding of global companion diagnostic development, regulatory pathways, laboratory medicine, reimbursement, and testing ecosystems.

  • Proven ability to translate scientific, clinical, regulatory, and market insights into differentiated commercial precision medicine strategies that improve patient identification, testing adoption, and commercial success.

  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders across Commercial, Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Market Access, Regulatory, and Business Development.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to build capabilities, influence without authority, and create alignment across a matrixed global organization.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and strategic planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort operating in ambiguity and a passion for improving outcomes for cancer patients.

Preferred Skills:

  • Advanced scientific degree (MS, PhD, PharmD) and/or MBA.

  • Experience with biomarker-defined solid tumors and targeted therapies.

  • Prior experience in a rapidly growing biotechnology company.

  • Experience building global laboratory networks and diagnostic partnerships.

  • Strong external leadership experience with diagnostic companies, laboratory organizations, and strategic partners.
