Description

Purpose of this Job:

The purpose of this position is to support the development and ongoing management for Sanden's commercial and strategic activities for Sanden's North American OEM client base.


The candidate will also develop strategies and create alignment with product engineering to support the promotion of current and new products.


Implement the corporate strategies that also engage our North American OEM Domestic client base and personalize their Sanden experience. Support sales initiatives that continuously exceed our customer's needs and position our company for long-term growth and profit improvement. 


This position expects the identification and confirmation of new products for the evolving market requirements for development of Sanden's product strategy that aligns to market trends.


Principle Duties/Essential Functions:  

Function as the focal point of communication between Sanden and our OEM customers, including the Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Service and Warranty functions.


Build mutually beneficial relationships with key customer personnel.


Work closely with Sanden's Sales Engineering and Design Engineering functions to develop the technical strategies and initiatives needed to promote current products and develop new products to meet the changing market trends.


Lead cross-functional teams in the scope of building competitive commercial offers with the best QCD.


Develop, maintain, and execute a monthly, yearly, and long-range (5+ years) business plan. Prepare and distribute a monthly sales forecast for the North American OEM market based on both macroeconomic and industry-specific factors.


Generates sales leads and translate these opportunities into new business nominations. 


Coordinate marketing plans and create marketing materials as needed to realize sales goals.


Represents Sanden at trade shows, customer and industry conferences.

Education:

Preferred Bachelor's degree in Business / Marketing or equivalent.


Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

5+ years' experience in similar positions

Strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously required

Ability to successfully interact with a wide range of customer personnel

Ability to work effectively under pressure

Must be knowledgeable of automotive quality systems and procedures

Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills

Bilingual in English and / or Japanese, Chinese, Spanish desirable

Must have strong computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point


Physical Demands:

Ability to travel

Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines

High degree of mental and visual effort required


Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):

PPE may be required based on specific projects


Work Environment/Hours:

Primary work area is located in an office setting.

Must work normal office hours plus possible support in the evenings and at the weekend (as needed)

30% domestic

20% international to countries such as      but not limited to Japan and Mexico
