What is a PPC company?

A PPC company is a digital marketing agency that specializes in managing pay-per-click (PPC) advertising campaigns for businesses. These companies create, optimize, and monitor ads on platforms like Google Ads, Bing Ads, and social media channels to drive targeted traffic and generate leads or sales. Their expertise includes keyword research, ad copywriting, bid management, and performance analysis to maximize return on investment (ROI) for their clients. Hiring a PPC company can help businesses save time, reduce ad spend wastage, and achieve better results from their online advertising efforts.

What is the difference between Ppc Company vs PPC Specialist?

AspectPpc CompanyPPC Specialist

Work EnvironmentAgency or in-house marketing teams, collaborative settingDigital marketing teams, freelance or in-house roles

While a Ppc Company oversees multiple campaigns and manages client relationships, a PPC Specialist focuses on executing and optimizing individual campaigns. Both roles require digital marketing skills and certifications, but the company role involves broader strategic responsibilities.

What is PPC in jobs?

PPC in jobs typically refers to Pay-Per-Click advertising roles, where professionals manage online ad campaigns to drive traffic and sales. These roles often require skills in digital marketing, analytics tools, and understanding of platforms like Google Ads or Bing Ads.

What is a PPC manager's salary?

A PPC manager's salary typically ranges from $50,000 to $90,000 annually, depending on experience, location, and company size. Senior PPC managers or those with specialized skills in tools like Google Ads or Bing Ads can earn higher salaries, often exceeding $100,000.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a PPC Specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a PPC Specialist, you need a strong understanding of digital marketing principles, analytics, and paid advertising strategies, often supported by a degree in marketing or related fields. Familiarity with platforms like Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, and analytics tools such as Google Analytics or SEMrush, along with certifications like Google Ads Certification, is typically expected. Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and effective communication are crucial soft skills for optimizing campaigns and collaborating with clients or teams. Mastering these skills ensures effective ad spend management, maximized ROI, and successful delivery of client objectives in a competitive digital landscape.

What is the average salary for a PPC specialist?

The average salary for a PPC specialist typically ranges from $50,000 to $70,000 per year, depending on experience, location, and certifications. Entry-level roles may start lower, while experienced specialists with skills in tools like Google Ads and analytics can earn higher salaries.

Is PPC a good company to work for?

PPC roles are typically in digital marketing agencies or in-house marketing teams, focusing on pay-per-click advertising campaigns. These positions often require skills in platforms like Google Ads and analytics tools, and can offer opportunities for growth in digital marketing careers. The work environment varies by company but generally involves collaboration and performance-based metrics.

What are some common challenges faced by PPC specialists working in a PPC company, and how can they be addressed?

PPC specialists in a dedicated PPC company often encounter challenges such as managing multiple client accounts with varying goals, staying updated with frequent platform changes (like Google Ads updates), and ensuring campaigns consistently deliver strong ROI. To address these challenges, specialists typically rely on robust project management tools, ongoing training, and collaboration with data analysts and account managers. Regular communication with clients and proactive optimization strategies are also key to maintaining successful campaigns and client satisfaction.

Job description

PPC StrategistRemote I Full-Time I $65k - $75k Depending on Experienceย
About Mannix Marketing

Mannix Marketing is a digital marketing agency with 30 years of experience (yes, weโ€™re older than Google!) in helping businesses thrive online. We provide comprehensive digital marketing solutions, including website design, SEO, social media marketing, content creation, and paid advertising strategies. Headquartered in Upstate New York and operating as a fully remote team, we pride ourselves on our consultative approach.

About the Role

We are looking for a PPC Strategist who can own paid media from strategy through execution. This is a full-time remote role working across a range of client accounts in industries like boat dealers, senior living, tourism, manufacturing, and non-profits. If you've spent time managing the same accounts on repeat, this is a different kind of seat. Our client mix is genuinely varied, and the work reflects that. Clients are primarily small- to mid-sized businesses, which means you're building real relationships and making decisions that actually move the needle for them, rather than waiting on approvals from six layers of stakeholders. You'll manage campaigns across Google, Microsoft, Meta, and LinkedIn, with full ownership of performance outcomes, including directing contractors and using AI tools to support execution. Strong client-facing skills are essential, as you'll work closely withย account managers and communicate directly with clients on a regular basis.ย

What Youโ€™ll Do

  • Lead client meetings, deliver performance updates, and maintain ongoing communication to build strong, consultative relationships.

  • Own campaign strategy end-to-end, directing contractors and leveraging AI tools to support execution and implementation.

  • Develop and manage paid advertising campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), and LinkedIn Ads.

  • Optimize for conversions, CTR, ROAS, and cost efficiency through ongoing testing and data analysis.

  • Manage conversion tracking and analytics through Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and platform pixels.

  • Partner with account managers and clients to ensure campaigns are aligned with business goals.

  • Stay current on platform updates, algorithm changes, and emerging PPC trends.

What Weโ€™re Looking For
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience managing PPC campaigns for small-to-mid-sized businesses across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta Ads, and LinkedIn.

  • Proven experience in a client-facing role, with the ability to build relationships, lead meetings, and communicate PPC performance clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong copy-writing skills with the ability to write ad creative that converts.

  • Proficiency in conversion tracking, audience segmentation, and re-targeting strategies.

  • Ability to analyze campaign data and translate it into clear recommendations.

  • Experience managing client accounts across multiple industries.

  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment while staying aligned with team strategy.

  • Must be located within the continental United States.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.

What We Offer

We want this to be a place where you can do your best work and feel good about where you work. Hereโ€™s what comes with the role:

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance

  • Simple IRA with a 3% dollar-for-dollar company match

  • Paid time off starting at 12 days per year and increasing with tenure, up to 30 days for long-term team members

  • Flex time available for life appointments and personal needsย

  • 9 paid holidays, with the option to swap for a cultural or religious holiday that matters to you

  • Fully remote, work from wherever you do your best thinking

  • HeyTaco peer recognition program is a small but genuine way teammates appreciate each other
