Certified Dietary ManagerPowerlink has an immediate need for a dynamic, versatile and an accomplished and energetic Dietary Manager with a solid history of achievement in Restaurant and Senior Living Management to join our Foodservice Operations team. Powerlink is a provider of Healthcare Integrated Services to Long-Term Care and Senior Living Facilities, throughout the United States. We provide award-winning and highly successful solutions within the areas of Food and Nutrition Services, Environmental Services, Institutional Laundry Services and Facility Maintenance.Job SummaryThe Food Service Director manages the daily operations of the foodservice department and provides leadership, support, and guidance to ensure that food quality standards, food safety guidelines, and customer service expectations are met. Responsible for all training and quality control while adhering to established policies and procedures and following all current federal, state, and local regulations.Required QualificationsMinimum three (3) to five (5) years of experience managing the food and nutrition services department in acute care, long term care, or hospitality industry.Valid Certified Dietary Manager (CDM/CFPP) certification.Minimum education: Graduate of an approved ANFP dietary training program, associate degree in food service management, food and nutrition, nutrition and dietetics technician degree, culinary arts degree, or related field.Must be able to speak, read and write English to communicate effectively with others.Must be able to work flexible hours and days.Basic computer skills with the ability to maintain records and complete reports as required, including web-based reporting. Knowledge of purchasing, food handling, preparation, service, and operation of all kitchen equipment.Strong background in safety and sanitation compliance.Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations as applicable. Must be local to the Metro Detroit area.Preferred QualificationFive (5) or more years food and nutrition services management experience in healthcare and/or senior living environmentCurrent ServSafe® certification.
