Job description

Powerlink has an immediate need for a highly motivated Dietary Aide with strong customer service skills solid work history to join our Foodservice Operations team. Powerlink is a provider of Healthcare Integrated Services to Long-Term Care and Senior Living Facilities, throughout the United States, located in Warren, MI. We provide award-winning and highly successful solutions within the areas of Food and Nutrition Services, Environmental Services, Institutional Laundry Services and Facility Maintenance.


Job Summary

The Dietary Aide works under the supervision of the Culinary Manager. The Dietary Aide must have skills in food preparation, production control, inventory control, kitchen safety, sanitation, equipment use and cleaning/sanitizing, food safety, recipe adherence, therapeutic diets, and modified textured foods and liquids. The Dietary Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean a safe work area and assisting dietary cooks as necessary. Responsible for all general sanitation and cleaning including, but not limited to sweeping, mopping, washing dishes, and taking out trash.


Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.

Minimum two (2) years of experience in customer service.

Minimum one (1) year of food service experience.

Must be able to speak, read and write English to communicate effectively with others.

Must be able to work weekends and holidays with flexible hours.

Background in safety and sanitation compliance.

Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.

Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.

Must be local to Phoenix, AZ and surrounding areas.

Must be able to speak and read English fluently.


Preferred Qualification

Current ServSafe certification or Food Handler certification.

Experience working in long term care environment.
