Pay is based on Experience, open to all levels of experience
Responsibilities and duties:
  • Provides technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis and resolution in the creation of construction designs related to power distribution systems
  • Ensures accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, completion and monitoring of work activities,
  • Independently prepares thorough and accurate technical designs, correspondence, documentation, calculations and sketches,
  • Conducts engineering and related studies as dictated by the design criteria,
  • Strives to continually improve job-related, technical and professional knowledge, skills and performance,
  • Develops positive working relationships to effectively coordinate work activities,
  • Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills,
  • Maintains accurate records and files,
  • Supports the company's goals and represents the company positively and professionally

Typical design projects include - but not limited to:
Overhead (OH) conversions to underground (UG)
Primary and secondary UG cable replacements
OH reconductoring, storm hardening
self-optimized grid (self-healing networks)
capacitor and reclosure placements and replacements
new circuit additions
substation circuit exits
voltage conversions
lighting design
circuit ties
GIS mapping
Department of transportation (DOT) conflict relocations
deteriorated conductor replacement
circuit studies
rotten/deteriorated pole replacement program
right of way acquisition
Requirements:
Associates or Bachelors in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
