Job description

14324 - Solar Engineer (onsite) - Juno Beach, FL
Start Date: ASAP
Type: Temporary Project
Estimated Duration: 12+ months with possible extensions
Work Setting: 100% of the time at the Client's site. No telecommuting or remote work. This is a non-negotiable requirement from the client.
Only candidates able to relocate as required should apply to avoid removal from future consideration.
Required:

  • Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client's site in Juno Beach, FL (required);
  • Experience with electrical systems (required);
  • Experience with engineering in solar power generation or utility-scale power industry (5+ years);
  • Experience with utility-scale inverters and power electronics;
  • Experience with troubleshooting solar inverter fault codes and root-cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures.
  • Experience with CWE center
  • Experience with ROCC liaison
  • Experience with solar inverters (2+ years);
  • Experience in design space
  • Technology, power electronics experience
  • Six sigma, conducting failure analysis experience
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
  • Bachelor's Degree in other engineering discipline with equivalent experience with electrical systems

Preferred:
  • Experience with operations support or control center environments;
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering;
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification;

Responsibilities:
  • Work on troubleshooting guides for solar inverters;
  • Serve as primary technical liaison between the Solar Inverter Fleet Team, ROCC, and CWE, acting independently on technical matters;
  • Complete process improvement assignments and interface with individuals and OEMs within and outside the organization regarding technical matters;
  • Support component failure rate analysis, development of work plans, and countermeasures for recurring issues;
  • Conduct root-cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures at solar sites;
  • Provide assistance to field technicians and ROCC operators with troubleshooting inverter and other solar issues;
  • Support responses to regulatory bodies for data requests.
