This is an opportunity to directly influence high-profile, design-forward projects while receiving the mentorship and autonomy needed to grow into a principal role.

Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of U.S.-based electrical engineering design experience

  • Active Florida Professional Engineer (P.E.) license (or ability to obtain quickly)

  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and the Autodesk suite

  • Strong communication skills; able to liaise with architects, project managers, and clients

  • Working knowledge of the NEC and Florida Building Codes

Preferred Qualifications

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead electrical system design for commercial and residential buildings

  • Coordinate with in-house mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection teams to ensure cohesive MEP deliverables

  • Guide electrical documentation through design, permitting, bidding, and construction

  • Conduct code compliance checks, QA/QC reviews, and project meetings

  • Serve as a client-facing technical expert and design representative

  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to ongoing training efforts

  • Manage timelines, workloads, and stakeholder expectations across multiple projects

  • Support firm leadership in business development, proposal responses, and department direction

  • Great Benefits: Competitive salary, full health coverage, generous PTO, and retirement plan options

  • Stability: A 40+ year-old firm with a deep client base and increasing project volumes across Florida and beyond.

  • Supportive Culture: Mid-sized environment with direct access to executives, cross-discipline mentorship, and investment in technology and training.

  • Project Variety: Work on a wide range of building types including high-rises, mixed-use developments, healthcare, retail, sports facilities, government buildings, historic renovations, and more.
