What You'll Do:
Project and Team Leadership:
  • Provide direction and leadership to project teams, ensuring effective communication, resource allocation, supervision, and adherence to project timelines and budgets
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment
  • Identify and nurture high-potential talent within the team; mentor and develop the next generation of Engineering leadership at Verdantas
  • Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure successful project delivery
  • Commitment to people and professional development of our teams

Technical Leadership:
  • Serve as Lead Senior Engineer and primary point of contact managing strategy, technical and design work, regulatory engagement, and business development
  • Engage as Senior in Charge on land or site plan development, design, and permitting, stormwater management design and permitting, erosion & sediment control design (as appropriate based on licensure), primarily for Verdantas' Area-level clients in our Real Estate, Government, Energy, and Industrial Markets
  • Direct meetings with municipal officials, engineers, developers, and contractors
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on best practices
  • Identify opportunities for process and quality improvements and implement best practices
  • Lead initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of project delivery
  • Encourage a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team

Client Engagement:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as the primary point of contact for project-related needs and committing to client satisfaction
  • Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions
  • Present project updates and technical information to clients in a clear and concise manner

Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders, including federal and state agencies, communities, and environmental organizations, to facilitate project approvals and implementation
  • Coordinate with internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure project objectives are met

Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure the quality and technical content of all work products, maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements

Power Market Growth:
  • Lead initiatives aimed at expanding our presence in the Power market
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase market share and drive business growth
  • Plan, execute, and oversee pursuits and projects aimed at market expansion in the power sector

What You Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited institution; higher education preferred
  • 20 or more years of experience in civil engineering and land development
  • P.E. required (Delaware, New York, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey preferred)
  • Professional project management certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2), preferred
  • Offshore wind energy on-land transmission project experience, including experience with USEPA, Army Corps of Engineers, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, and state agencies (including DNREC)
  • Strong leadership and team management skills

Salary Range:
The compensation range starts at $125,000 and is based on the position, experience, and licensure.
