We're looking for a talented BI Developer/Analytics Lead IV to join our team supporting a complex Federal Government customer in Northern Virginia (Alexandria/Falls Church area). This individual will provide senior technical leadership for enterprise business intelligence, reporting, and analytics. You will design and deliver sophisticated BI solutions that transform complex data into clear, actionable information for operational and management decision-making.

Work Location:

  • Onsite – Northern Virginia (Alexandria/Falls Church area)

Clearance:
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain Government security clearance.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise business intelligence and analytics solutions.
  • Provide senior technical expertise in Power BI, SQL, data visualization, reporting, data modeling, and analytics.
  • Design scalable reporting architectures, analytical datasets, dashboards, and visualization solutions.
  • Lead the development of complex Power BI reports, semantic models, dashboards, and analytical products.
  • Establish standards and best practices for BI development, data visualization, reporting, dashboard design, and analytical processes.
  • Analyze complex and disparate datasets to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, relationships, and actionable insights.
  • Lead the development of enterprise KPIs, metrics, analytical models, and reporting frameworks.
  • Work with business and technical stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into scalable BI and analytics solutions.
  • Lead efforts to improve data quality, reporting accuracy, performance, and usability.
  • Evaluate existing reporting environments and recommend improvements to architecture, technology, processes, and automation.
  • Troubleshoot complex BI, data, reporting, and performance issues.
  • Review BI solutions, data models, queries, and dashboards developed by other team members.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to BI developers and analysts.
  • Lead efforts to automate recurring reporting and analytical processes.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, reporting standards, data definitions, and business rules.
  • Ensure BI and analytics solutions align with established data governance, security, and organizational requirements.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in business intelligence, data analytics, reporting, data visualization, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise BI and analytics initiatives.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience working with enterprise databases and analytical data environments.
  • Extensive experience designing and developing complex Power BI dashboards, reports, semantic models, and data visualizations.
  • Strong experience with data modeling and development of analytical datasets.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating and analyzing data from multiple enterprise sources.
  • Experience defining enterprise KPIs, metrics, reporting standards, and analytical requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex datasets and communicate meaningful insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience optimizing BI solutions, queries, datasets, and dashboards for performance and scalability.
  • Experience establishing BI development standards, best practices, and documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives and provide guidance or mentorship to other analysts and developers.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to independently lead complex projects and manage multiple priorities.

Salary Range
$110,000-$135,000
The posted salary range represents the anticipated compensation for this position.
