Job description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Powder Coating Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality powder coatings to a variety of metal products, ensuring durability and aesthetic appeal. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced industrial painting techniques, precision tools, and fabrication processes in a fast-paced environment. Your expertise will help deliver top-tier finished products that meet strict quality standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.


Duties

  • Prepare metal components by cleaning, masking, and surface preparation to ensure optimal coating adhesion.
  • Operate powder coating equipment, including spray booths, and curing ovens, following safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
  • Assist with racking, inspecting, and coating items.
  • Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments and visual assessments to verify coating thickness, finish consistency, and defect detection.
  • Document process parameters and inspection results accurately for quality control records and continuous improvement efforts.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience with industrial and custom coating techniques
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in welding, machining, fabrication, and the use of hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other materials handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Basic math skills for measuring coating thicknesses and calculating material requirements.
