Shifts/Pay Rate:
  • Pay Rate: $23-25/hr
    1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
  • Pay Rate: $27.60-$30/hr
    3rd Shift: Monday–Friday, 11:00 PM–7:30 AM
What’s a typical day as a Powder Coating Technician? You’ll be:
  • Preparing metal surfaces for coating through cleaning, sanding, masking, and other preparation methods
  • Operating manual powder coating spray guns and spray booth equipment
  • Applying powder coatings evenly to meet specifications and finish requirements
  • Setting and monitoring oven controls to ensure proper curing temperatures and cycle times
  • Using MIL thickness gauges and other measuring instruments to verify coating thickness
  • Inspecting completed parts for finish quality, consistency, coverage, and defects
  • Reading and following 2D drawings, work instructions, and production specifications
  • Completing required production documentation accurately and on time
  • Performing basic troubleshooting and minor equipment adjustments when needed
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area while following established safety procedures
