Poultry Technical Managers are professionals responsible for overseeing the health, productivity, and welfare of poultry flocks within a farm, company, or region. They provide technical guidance on nutrition, disease prevention, biosecurity, and management practices to optimize poultry production. Their role often includes working closely with farmers, veterinarians, and feed suppliers to troubleshoot issues and implement best practices. Additionally, they may conduct training sessions, ensure compliance with regulations, and stay updated on industry advancements to improve flock performance.

Poultry Technical Managers often encounter challenges such as resistance to change among farm staff, budget constraints, and varying levels of infrastructure across facilities when introducing new health and nutrition protocols. They must balance scientific recommendations with practical, on-the-ground realities, ensuring protocols are both effective and feasible. Effective communication, ongoing training, and close collaboration with farm managers and veterinarians are essential for overcoming these obstacles and achieving successful implementation.
