They work in hospital maternity units or postpartum recovery areas. Strong communication, attention to detail, and compassion are essential in this role.

What are the typical daily responsibilities of a Postpartum Tech?

As a Postpartum Tech, your typical day includes assisting nurses and physicians with newborn and maternal care, such as checking vital signs, helping with feeding or bathing, and preparing patient rooms. You may also support patient mobility, restock medical supplies, perform basic clerical tasks, and ensure cleanliness. Collaboration with nurses, lactation consultants, and other maternity staff is common to provide comprehensive care. This hands-on role is patient-focused and requires a high level of reliability and compassion throughout each shift.
