Target hiring range for this position will be between $38,460.96 - $48,065.76 per year. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Job Summary:
Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, one of the country's top law schools, is seeking an Admissions Assistant for their Office of Admissions and Financial Aid. This role will serve as the first point of contact for more than 8,000 applicants to the various Juris Doctor and LLM programs at the law school. This role will assist in the successful coordination of the application and admissions cycle, maintain administrative duties aligned with our admissions operations and customer service responsibilities to our prospect, applicant, and admitted student populations. The role also assists admissions team members with project related work in relation to admitted student events, current student led initiatives, on and off campus recruitment and yield events, as well as customized visits to the law school.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate strong communication and organization skills, as well as maintain a professional demeanor while working in a fast-paced environment and providing excellent customer service.

Specific Responsibilities:
  • First point of contact and primary information source for prospective, admitted, and current students. Answer general account email and telephones, maintain and organize postal mail to and from the office. Greet and assist visitors and walk-ins.
  • Assist with coordinating department-led admissions activities, including campus visits, tours, events, and meetings.
  • Assist with coordinating in-person visits for prospective and admitted students, including supporting communications, helping develop visit schedules, arranging meetings and campus activities, answering questions, and facilitating travel stipends when available.
  • Serve as the primary coordinator for physical mailings and assist with admissions communications, including admitted student packets and email campaigns. Responsibilities may also include running standard reports from admissions databases.
  • Assist with the planning, preparation, and execution of on- and off-campus recruitment and yield events, including coordinating logistics, managing registrations and event calendars, preparing materials, and supporting pre-event and day-of activities.
  • Process incoming applications and maintain accurate, complete applicant records in admissions systems, including organizing and updating application materials and preparing files for review throughout the admissions process.
  • Assist with office tasks including filing, maintaining office supply inventory, ordering supplies, setting and maintaining calendar appointments, and room reservations.
  • Monitor and track admissions office activity, including visitor traffic, phone and email volume, and other operational trends and workflow patterns throughout the admissions cycle.

  • A high school diploma or its equivalent along with 2 years of administrative support experience is required.
