Job description

Under limited supervision, the Facilities Assistant / Office Handyman is responsible for general office work, courier services and physical upkeep of our offices and company buildings. Company vehicles are available for work related travel. Reports to the Facilities Manager. MUST HAVE VALID SC DRIVER'S LICENSE AND CLEAN DRIVING RECORD.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Minor repair and maintenance tasks at headquarters, satellite offices and company buildings to include basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical fixes, painting, furniture assembly
  • Ensuring all spaces are functional and in good condition by addressing issues as they arise
  • Errands to post office, law offices, court houses
  • Supply purchases and replenishments
  • Deliver/retrieve corporate vehicles for maintenance, cleaning or fueling
  • Upkeep appearance of common areas at headquarters and satellite offices
  • Front desk reception assistance
  • Witness legal transactions
  • Deliver/retrieve items to and from corporate storage facilities
  • Transporting equipment to offices throughout NC, SC and GA
  • Airport or hotel destination pick up/drop off of employees or clients
  • Occasional lifting of objects up to 50 lbs. for disposal or delivery to storage
  • Cleaning and maintenance of corporate housing and other company facilities
  • Setup and breakdown at company events
  • Willingly performs other duties as assigned or requested

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to pass criminal background and drug screening
  • Must have a valid drivers license
  • Basic knowledge of pluming, electrical work and carpentry
  • Able to safely use power tools
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

  • Physically able to lift heavy objects and climb ladders
