Job Description Summary

Senior Manager - Business Development (M&A) is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic growth initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, and other corporate development activities. This role works closely with executive leadership, business units, finance, legal, operations, and external advisors to support the company's growth strategy and portfolio optimization objectives.
The role leads financial and strategic analyses, coordinates due diligence activities, develops business cases, supports transaction execution, and assists with post-merger integration planning.

Job Description:

Strategy & Opportunity Assessment

  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize acquisition, divestiture, joint venture, and strategic partnership opportunities aligned with corporate growth objectives.
  • Develop strategic business cases and investment theses to support corporate development initiatives.

Transaction Execution

  • Lead end-to-end M&A processes, including target screening, management presentations, due diligence, negotiations, and transaction close.
  • Build and present financial models, valuation analyses, synergy assessments, and investment return analyses to support transaction decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with external advisors, including investment bankers, consultants, legal counsel, accounting firms, and tax advisors.

Due Diligence & Deal Structuring

  • Lead commercial, operational, financial, tax, legal, and HR due diligence activities.
  • Assess transaction risks and develop mitigation strategies and recommended deal structures that support both strategic and financial objectives.

Integration & Value Creation

  • Support post-merger integration planning and execution to ensure realization of anticipated synergies and strategic objectives.
  • Track integration milestones and monitor synergy capture initiatives.
  • Support portfolio optimization initiatives including carve-outs, divestitures, and restructuring projects.

Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent advanced qualification preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in Corporate Development, M&A, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Transaction Advisory, or Corporate Finance.
  • Experience leading acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, or strategic partnership transactions. Experience in automotive, industrial manufacturing, or related sectors preferred.
