Healing Mind and Soul Center in Laredo, Texas, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team. This position is primarily remote, although there may be occasions requiring you to work at our outpatient office in Laredo, TX. You will conduct therapy sessions in clients’ homes or the outpatient center, ensuring a comfortable and supportive environment for therapy. Our team emphasizes flexibility, understanding that work-life balance is essential to meeting both client needs and personal commitments.

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on emotional and behavioral support for children with diverse needs.
• Provide in-home therapeutic services that foster positive decision-making skills in caretakers to address behavioral challenges effectively.
• Design and implement tailored therapeutic interventions, including anger management programs, coping strategies, and social skills development.
• Utilize tools such as progress notes, treatment plans, and intake forms to track client progress and submit documentation in accordance with agency protocols.
• Participate actively in multi-disciplinary team meetings, sharing insights and recommendations to enhance the quality of care provided to our clients.
• Adhere to established timelines for submitting all required documentation to ensure ongoing support and treatment continuity.

Your primary focus will be working with children and adolescents between the ages of 3 to 20. These young clients may face various developmental and intellectual challenges, requiring a nuanced understanding of their unique needs and the ability to develop effective therapeutic approaches. Your work will help empower families and caretakers, providing them with skills and resources to foster positive behaviors and emotional resilience.

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.
• An active and unrestricted LMFT license is essential for this role.
• Availability to provide a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during flexible evening hours (4-7 pm), with additional weekend availability preferred.

• Experience providing positive behavior support and working with children with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
• Demonstrated expertise in delivering therapeutic services in home settings.
• A valid driver’s license and a registered vehicle are necessary for travel to clients’ residences.
• Successfully passing a comprehensive background check, including fingerprinting, is required.
