Job description

Summary/Objective
The Behavior Support Specialist is responsible for assisting teachers and administrators in dealing with student behaviors.
Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • The behavior support specialist will be responsible to monitor in house suspension students as the accountability room supervisor.
  • Responsible to assist with positive behavior support utilizing the PBIS system.
  • Will assist with student behaviors in the café during lunch times.
  • Required to attend and assist with behavior intervention plans.
  • Communicate student behaviors to parents via phone, email, etc.
  • Assist the teachers with behavior intervention.
  • May be required to substitute teach in the classroom.
  • Monitor and input information on the campus activities calendar as needed.
  • Train and supervisor peer mediators and mediations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
