Help Modernize and Grow a Community Grocery Store

Five Star is seeking a highly motivated Retail Technology & Digital Operations Specialist to help improve, expand, and modernize our retail technology systems, digital sales channels, promotional execution, and customer engagement strategies.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, learning new systems independently, improving processes, and using technology to drive measurable business results.

Because this is a newly developed role, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to help shape responsibilities, workflows, and long-term objectives while working directly with store leadership.

Position Overview

This role serves as the bridge between retail operations, technology systems, digital marketing, online ordering, and customer engagement.

The successful candidate will help maximize the effectiveness of our existing technology platforms while identifying new opportunities to improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and sales performance.

NCR Voyix Advanced Back Office (ABO)

Instacart

Loyalty and app-based marketing platforms

Website and social media channels

Various vendor and reporting platforms

Key ResponsibilitiesRetail Technology & Systems

Support and optimize NCR Voyix ENCOR and NCR Voyix Advanced Back Office (ABO)

Manage pricing updates, promotions, reporting, and system maintenance

Identify opportunities to improve operational workflows through technology

Research platform capabilities and recommend improvements

Coordinate with vendors and support providers to resolve technical and operational issues

Assist with implementation of new technology initiatives

Digital Operations & Online Sales

Manage Instacart and online ordering platforms

Maintain digital product listings, pricing, images, and promotional accuracy

Monitor online ordering performance and customer experience

Identify opportunities to increase digital sales and improve operational efficiency

Promotions & Customer EngagementCoordinate weekly promotional execution across:

Social media

Store website

Loyalty and app card programs

Instacart

Local radio

In-store advertising vendors

Ensure promotional consistency across all customer-facing channels

Support development of digital engagement strategies and customer outreach programs

Reporting, Analytics & Business Improvement

Track promotional performance, customer engagement, and sales results

Develop reporting tools and dashboards to support management decision-making

Recommend new technologies, workflows, and promotional strategies
