Principle Purpose of Job

Support, manage and maintain all Devil's Thumb Ranch, Vasquez Creek Inn, Volario's/ Giocondo's, Headwaters Ecology & Community Center, Wild Horse Cabins, and related properties with all technology, systems and infrastructure. Provide support and customer service for both External and Internal Guests. Areas of focus will include PMS/POS, Wi-Fi, QuickBooks, and Data Plus support on all issues, including assistance with ongoing tasks and projects such as creating new users and assigning appropriate levels of access, advancement in all areas of technology. Assistance with IT/PC support for all entities listed above and related properties, to include but not limited to, the POS/PMS systems, system checks of servers onsite and virtual, troubleshooting Network/VPN, PBX and Wi-Fi systems.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all DTR data including but not limited to Employee and Guest data, financial information, email, phone and text records.
  • Manage telephone switch and telecommunication network
  • Provide remote capability to potential outsource vendors.
  • Understand all standard and customized features and functions of the hotel front office systems, point of sale systems, phone systems and other systems, including but not limited to system security, system reports, manager functions, system utilities, and user functions. 
  • Create and maintain disaster recovery system to ensure all programs and databases are currently backed up and easily retrievable
  • Assist in development of lodging packages and revenue allocation, assist in managing inventory module and item ID's, as well as managing the restaurant module and interfaces. 
  • Train new users on how the Resort Suite system works and standard operating procedures.
  • Develop and maintain standardized reports as needed (Including SQL).
  • Document and map out existing computers, networks, PBX and servers. 
  • Perform upgrades, repairs/replacement to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment. 
  • Resolve user requests for support for Windows, Office, Saflok, Hotsos, Open Table, Room Viewer, Skype, etc. 
  • Assist and train in all other job duties related to any other IT positions within the department.
  • Assist in the implementation and management of an antivirus system which will include applying updates and ensuring proper operation of these systems.
  • Ability to support ESXi servers and VEEAM software.
  • Develop and maintain a good standing relationship with all support vendors related to IT.
  • IT support after hours as needed. 
  • Other job duties as may be necessary for the successful operation of DTR and its affiliates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education in an IT field
  • Minimum two years experience in an IT field (Hospitality experienced preferred)
  • Prior experience with Resort Suite, Data Plus or other PMS & POS software preferred
  • Use of network and connectivity systems, A/V equipment, phone systems, Microsoft Operating and user software, Point of Sale systems, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Server and Virtual Servers
  • Ability to conduct training classes and work with diverse workforce
  • Prior experience with enterprise network architecture preferred
  • Prior experience with Windows 2008 R2, 2012 Server required
  • Prior experience in an advanced ESXi environment strongly preferred
  • Requires high level of skill in PC, server level equipment and troubleshooting.
  • Requires thorough understanding of networking including switches, routing and TCP/IP.
  • Able to communicate and train managers and other employees of the resort through IT issues.
  • Ability to make decisions based on only general policies and procedures.
  • Able to work well independently and with minimal supervision
  • Ability to communicate and work with all levels of employees
  • Ability to lift and cary up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time. 


Compensation Description:

$95,000 - $110,000/yr Competitive pay commensurate with education and experience.

Due to the nature of our 24-hour operation, there is no guaranteed work schedule. Managers will try to accommodate specific schedule requests, but they are never guaranteed if business volume prohibits.
