Position Title: Senior Software Engineer (TACL | HPE Nonstop)
Location: Jersey City, NJ OR Tampa, FL OR Plano, TX OR Columbus, OH
Duration: 12+ Months (Possibility of extension)
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team for a mission-critical project focused on credit card transaction processing. This project handles high-value transactions made through e-commerce platforms and retail outlets, requiring real-time, secure, and highly available processing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and support applications involved in real-time credit card transactions, including swipes at POS and online purchases.
  • Work on a high-performance platform that manages large-scale transaction volumes.
  • Contribute to coding, troubleshooting, and performance optimization in a 24/7 transactional environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and system reliability.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Subject Matter Expertise in TACL, HPE NonStop (Tandem systems), and Prognosis.
  • Solid programming skills with the ability to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
  • Prior experience working in high-volume, high-availability financial transaction systems is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong hands-on experience with Python as a secondary programming skill.
  • Working knowledge of Java and Ansible for scripting and automation tasks.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
