Job Description:

The Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Support Analyst will utilize foundational knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and work under general supervision within established processes to support the configuration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of L3Harris MES platforms. The role will assist with functional support, process documentation, troubleshooting, and basic system enhancements across manufacturing operations. The role will perform routine to moderately complex assignments requiring sound judgment and attention to detail, while collaborating with team members and manufacturing/IT stakeholders to share information and support issue resolution. The role will contribute to process improvement efforts by identifying minor updates and providing recommendations for review, in addition to maintaining assigned operational objectives that support broader team goals.


Essential Functions:

  • Support the functional configuration and maintenance of the MES portfolio (FactoryLogix, Eyelit, Solumina, and Zeus) following established standards and best practices.
  • Assist with the analysis of manufacturing processes and help identify basic inefficiencies in areas such as production tracking, quality management, WIP visibility, and data flow.
  • Provide day-to-day functional support to end-users, including troubleshooting, basic training, and guidance on standard MES workflows.
  • Assist in multi-site MES activities, including documentation, testing, and support for Solumina implementations under senior guidance.
  • Help define and document integration requirements between MES, ERP, and PLM systems.
  • Support secure area MES operations by following strict security protocols and assisting with system availability in controlled environments.
  • Develop and maintain basic reports, process flows, and documentation to support performance monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in change management activities and user acceptance testing for MES enhancements.
  • Ensure MES activities comply with regulatory, quality, and security requirements.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.


Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze business requirements and assist in translating them into manufacturing execution solutions.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Foundational understanding of manufacturing processes and shop floor operations, including work order execution, routings, labor tracking, material movement, WIP control, nonconformance tracking, and quality checkpoints.
  • Exposure to production environments and the interaction between operators, manufacturing engineers, quality teams, and IT support in day-to-day shop floor execution.
  • Basic familiarity with discrete manufacturing concepts such as bills of material (BOMs), travelers/work instructions, process flows, rework loops, traceability, and production data collection.
  • Awareness of how MES supports real-time manufacturing activities by improving production visibility, enforcing process compliance, and capturing operational data from the shop floor.
  • Experience through coursework, internships, co-ops, or prior roles supporting manufacturing, operations, industrial engineering, quality, or production environments is preferred.
  • Ability to learn and work within regulated manufacturing settings where accuracy, documentation, process discipline, and adherence to quality and security requirements are critical.
  • Exposure to or basic experience with MES platforms such as Aegis FactoryLogix, Eyelit MES, or iBase-t Solumina.
  • Interest in semiconductor, electronics, aerospace, or regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and shop floor operations.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Visio).
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn MES functionalities and manufacturing systems.
  • Familiarity with Agile or Waterfall methodologies is a plus.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $79,000-$146,500. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, and Vermont is $69,000-$128,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
