About the role:

The primary responsibility of this role is to support the Global Endoscopy division in executing its hybrid portfolio strategy, ensuring portfolio investment is allocated to initiatives with the greatest strategic significance and meaningful return on investment across new product development (NPD) and business development (BD). This role supports acquisition and venture capital analysis, due diligence, deal accounting research, research and development (R&D) modeling for new product development opportunities, and strategic plan development.

In this role, you will partner with the Business Development team and cross-functional stakeholders to develop financial models for potential acquisitions and support due diligence activities. You will also collaborate with marketing, R&D and franchise leadership to evaluate and prioritize new product development opportunities.

This position reports to the Global Endoscopy controller and provides significant exposure to the Endoscopy leadership team, as well as divisional, corporate and regional finance teams across the organization.

Work model, sponsorship, relocation:

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Your responsibilities will include:

● Perform pro forma financial modeling for potential acquisition and venture capital targets in partnership with Endoscopy and Corporate Business Development teams.

● Identify key integration activities and partner with finance and cross-functional teams to define solutions, ownership and implementation timelines.

● Lead R&D financial modeling for new product development initiatives across all franchises.

● Represent Finance during Collaborative Development Board and Project Investment Board meetings by preparing project teams to communicate financial metrics effectively and educating stakeholders on topics such as target costing and product life cycle financial principles.

● Lead the R&D portfolio financial planning process in partnership with the divisional strategy team by developing funding recommendations and presenting analyses to the portfolio committee.

● Perform financial analysis for portfolio and bullpen projects, including project investment, net present value, incremental revenue, margin and resource requirements.

● Manage the quarterly forecasting process for acquisition-related revenue and margin.

● Support the development of long-range strategic plans and executive presentations through financial modeling and ad hoc analysis.

● Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial processes.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications:

● Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or business preferred.

● Minimum of 12 years' experience in financial analysis, planning and business support.

● Ability to work effectively in a complex, highly matrixed global organization while simplifying information for reporting and decision-making purposes.

● Strong financial analysis skills with exceptional attention to detail.

● Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with SAP and Hyperion preferred.

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

● Ability to consolidate, synthesize and communicate large volumes of financial information.

● Ability to work independently while serving as a trusted business partner.

● Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

● Strong leadership, organizational, process and time management skills.

Preferred qualifications:

● Master of Business Administration (MBA) or master's degree.

● Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.

● Experience working within a medium- to large-sized organization.
