Overview

The Strategy Portfolio Manager drives daytoday strategy execution and business process improvement within Altorfer across divisions. This is a handson role that personally maintains the portfolio of divisional strategic goals and action plans-ensuring they are clearly defined, consistently tracked, and effectively communicated-while helping coordinate and guide contributors across teams.

Reporting to the Vice President of Strategy & CIO, this role blends individual execution with crossfunctional coordination across IT, Marketing, and the broader business, converting customer feedback and improvement initiatives into measurable results.

Growth is increasingly shaped by the convergence of technology, data, customer expectations, and strategy execution. Altorfer established a new Strategy division to act on these shifts; realizing its value depends on consistent, handson execution. This role provides that capacity at an efficient manner while tracking and communicating strategy and driving business process improvement and change. Provides support and coaching to contributors so initiatives move forward as one coordinated effort rather than fragmented activity.

Basic Duties
Key Responsibilities
    Personally maintain the portfolio of divisional strategic goals and action plans, keeping them defined, documented, and current
  • Collaborate with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) on desired improvement projects. Assist with program backlog prioritization and communication/collaboration around commitments and achievements.
  • Run a consistent cadence for tracking progress, surfacing risks and dependencies early
  • Prepare and deliver clear updates on strategy, progress, and outcomes for leadership and teams
  • Coordinate and guide crossfunctional contributors, helping translate executive direction into action and managing the change that process improvement brings
DealerWide Initiatives & Business Process Improvement
  • Manage dealerwide customer satisfaction feedback programs end to end-collection, analysis, and reporting
  • Turn feedback and performance insights into prioritized improvement initiatives with clear owners and measures
  • Track initiative progress handson and report outcomes to leadership
CrossFunctional Alignment
  • Partner with IT, Marketing and across divisions to connect technology, analytics, and customer engagement to strategy
  • Act as a connective point across teams so strategic goals and action plans stay aligned and on track
  • Use data and analytics to inform decisions and measure impact
What This Role Does Not Manage
  • Daytoday IT operations and infrastructure delivery
  • Marketing campaign execution and creative production
  • Formal line management of a department-this is not a senior leadership post
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 5 years previous professional experience in business process improvement, project or portfolio coordination, business analysis, or change management
  • Strong organizational, tracking, and communication skills, with attention to followthrough
  • Strong understanding of dealership financials to facilitate tracking of program impact on measurable outcomes.
  • Comfortable working across functions and influencing without direct authority
  • Analytical mindset; able to turn data and feedback into clear priorities
  • Growthoriented, with developing leadership and coaching ability required
  • Must be able to travel to other Altorfer locations with occasional overnight stays.
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record. This includes no more than 2 minor violations within the past 3 years and no major violations within the past 5 years (Motor Vehicle Report will be performed on final candidate)

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

This position works in an office, travels to other facilities throughout the territory, and if required customer sites. May on a continuous basis walk, bend and lift up to 20lbs. May be required to wear appropriate safety equipment (IE- Safety glasses or side shields, steel toed shoes, hearing protection, and hi-res vest) when needed. The noise level in our facilities may be moderate to high and office environment noise level is usually moderate to low. May intermittently sit at a desk for a period of time to answer telephone calls and write or use a keyboard to communicate through email. Must be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed. 20% of travel may be expected. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
